With the DVP closed, something towards the west end? Meet at Sherway and go for lunch somewhere around there? We can decide on what happens after. I don’t mind arranging once I know there is interest. Please confirm.

Hi Joe, pretty sure there will be a bunch of us looking for something for Sunday, we were talking about it last night during the Thursday night outing. We were tossing around something a little further than around the GTA mind you. We were thinking Niagara somewhere but leave early enough so we are down wherever for lunch at 11:30 am / 11:45 am time, so we all can get back by 4-4:30 pm or earlier.

I was going to post something since I had not seen this during the week but let's just go with this thread and see who is interested. My only suggestion if you are thinking about lunch in the GTA is that its somewhere quick and we meet early enough to get some driving time in as the roads will be busy after lunch.

Hey Bruce... I'm not married to the GTA idea, I just figured that if I had to organize something I'd keep it close to home and simple. I'm in for a Niagara cruise... would never say no to that.
How about this: since I'm in the west end already, how about we meet at the Tim's at the QEW and Winston Churchill (usual spot) on Sunday at 10:30? Folks coming from the east can choose a spot to meet prior if they wish. We have lunch in Niagara (do you want to propose a spot? Maybe that place with the big parking lot Stan took us to last spring...can't remember the name???). Let me know. I have no problem helping to coordinate reservations for lunch once we decide.

Sounds terrific to me, we'll see you there ... Yes that restaurant that Stan typically chooses is a good one, we may not need reservations depending on how many people we get. We can make that call on Sunday.

I'll dig up some old directions from Stan and Mark's cruises, I'm sure we can find our way. We'll take Ridge Road etc.

As for restaurant ideas, one place that has lots of parking and decent food is Mick & Angelo's.

I sent you a PM Bruce, from last years Sept cruise to Mike and Angelo's on Lundy's Lane and then onward to Fort Erie for the Niagara parkway cruise.

From Mike and Angelos, it's an easy cruise up to the falls if you don't want to end up in Fort Erie.

I put up a post to this thread on the Facebook HDR page as well. Sorry I'm gonna miss it but have fun tomorrow.

Waaaaaw. Out of the country curling and really want to go on a cruise and finally meet you all. Will be back for the Sherway meet. Until then enjoy whatever the weather in GTA offers.
