Hi all, regret selling my 79, but found another for sell.
Looking for any opinions or anyone that lives near Jarvis that can look at it?

Stoney Creek is pretty close to Jarvis.....(?)......Len's is on the corner of Hwy 6 and Hwy 3 btw.....right at the light, can't miss it...

I checked out the vette. Body and paint mint. Rims and tires good. Interior excellent, no tears. Drivers door doesn't stay open, freely swings close. Gaps all over the car are uniform good. It only has the L48, runs ok a little rough. Original rear spring and bushings. Auto transmission. I'm going back to check for rust birdcage. Also will be looking at frame. Selling as is, should be able to get it for $9000. Just wanted your thoughts on value.

Canadian car, speedo is in kph.
Non air conditioned car, vintage air is available aftermarket.

Not sure but I don't think rally wheels came OEM in '79. Should be YJ8's, aluminum 15".

The silver over blue looks sharp.

Driver's door not staying open is just the spring which is an easy fix.

It's obviously up to you, but a 79, with no air, uncertified, is not worth anywhere near 9K.

I think if you keep looking and are patient you can do a lot better than that.

Get ahold of the previous owner, you know what to ask being a prior 79 owner. No a/c, that car will be hot. If the frame, birdcage, driveline, brakes etc. turnout in good condition. I'd bring a jack lift each corner and see hw much each wheel wiggles and spins freely. I'd still offer $7500 - 8000 and install Vintage Air. Is that 119k on the speedo?

Price doesn't seem too far off...
A '79 sold for $8,140 (incl. bidder's fee) at the recent Spring Toronto Collector car auction.
