Calling for wet weather all day Al, so not sure what's going to happen tonight. While the rain might stop by then, it will be cool enough that the roads may still be wet. But if it is on, I can tell you we will be avoiding the downtown core tonight. And we all know how Toronto weather can change every 5 minutes.

1. Last home game for the Jays. Streets around the dome are closed.
2. World Cup of Hockey at the ACC, maybe last game tonight. So those streets will be closed.
3. There is a art festival starting tonight for the weekend at Yonge/Dundas square and they are expecting a thousand people tonight. Yonge/Dundas won't be closed but with that many people, you can expect huge delays getting round.

So needless to say, the downtown core will be very busy, and probably very congested. Extra police will be on the streets tonight as well, both uniformed and plain clothes, is what I'm hearing on the news.

Better be careful after the DVP...
they don't call it:

SCAR
BO
ROUGH

for nothing...i think it's my turn to be held dangling over a 401 bypass this week...if you hear screaming overhead...that'll be me!!!

Yup. 7pm and I'm leaving the office now. And it's raining. Think I'm going to forego tonight's HDR and just head home. Until next time folks.

I'm home now and it's still drizzling here and the roads are wet. But if it's not raining where you are and the roads are dry, you should get out for an HDR.

Al - not sure which route you ran, but after negotiating my way off a bridge in Scar-bo-rough went for a run.

Stan - as an FYI, Bayview extension resurfacing is now extended from Moore drive all the way to Rosedale Valley (both north- and southbound). Was a bit of a mess as its down to one lane with exposed storm sewer grates BUT will be nice when done!
