Any Info on the 2017 Grand Sport for Canadians?
Hey
I was wondering if any fellow members have talked with dealers or know of anymore info on the upcoming Grand Sport. I know the US has prices out for the car, but have they started taking orders? I'd like to consider the upgrade, so I'm just wondering when Canadians will get prices and when orders will start taking place. I've tried searching the forum and Google, but can't find anything.
Thanks for any help!!!

Getting back to what I already said, no orders in Canada have been placed for the GS yet as there is ONLY a verbal word on who is getting what. Pricing is not set as well. I just reconfirmed and, as I stated, I might contact WN or Gateway for that GS as they have been 'verbally' told that they will be receiving them in the 'first phase', the first phase being totally confusing to them lol.
Contact dealerships...they will assist. They HAVE BEEN TOLD NOT to take any money on pre-deposits as of yet and until the allocations are in stone because of the Z06 fiasco of the last two years. I only placed 14 guys in Z06s in the last two years and get called by dealerships trying to find buyers; I must not have a clue.
EDIT... PM me if interested and I can pass you forward to a 'verbal allocation'where the dealership has been told they are getting two.

Ordering and option is available on the system, but of course, this means absolutely nothing with respect to if and when you get a GS. It does not mean the dealer will ever get allocation, and if they do, when they might get that allocation. This is because GM has yet to provide any dealers with anything more than a 'ball park' idea of whether they may or may not be getting a GS. As we saw with the Z06, countless people placed their orders on the system without ever getting the car in that order year. This is why GM has stated to ALL Canadian dealers NOT TO take any deposits until allocations are later confirmed, regardless of whether a computer order has been created, again which men's nothing without allocation.
Unfortunately, once again people will get sucked in to throwing down large amounts of cash for a deposit that may be later returned if that dealer that drew up that order never got the allocation.
It is a simple case of understanding the Canadian GM Order System and having the proper info to help others in their quest to find their car.
NOTE - My information regarding dealers being instructed not to take orders or down payments until they have allocation came from 3 separate dealers on the day I wrote this, one being amongst the the largest Corvette sellers in Canada.
