Default Yonge Street Cruise Saturday August 13, 2016

Yonge Street Cruise Saturday August 13, 2016 ***CANCELLED***

Due to the conditions of the roads, all the construction going on, lane closures of Yonge and surrounding streets, it will be next to impossible to keep us all together. And unfortunately, there isn't much room nowadays to stop to let everyone catch up. Plus the inclement weather they are calling for on Saturday. Hopefully next year will be much better.

Stan.

And not so good news.

Peeps. I'm thinking about calling off the Yonge St cruise this year. Just did a drive going home and let me tell you, it is a huge mess in a lot of places. Between lane closures, planned road closures, construction sites, and cabs and buses that park half way in the right lane lane and bicyclists that don't use the damn bicycle lanes on the other streets, there is no way we are going to be able to stick together this year. Also, the Cherry St bridge is closed during the day so we would have to go the long way around to get to Polson Street. And then there's Yonge and Eglinton. Uggh! Carl, Amber, you guys have any idea when or how long it will take to fix that sink hole they are working on?

And don't even think of Bayview or Bathurst as alternates. They too have loads of construction going on. Just found out that the Bayview extension from Rosedale to Pottery Rd is down to one lane of traffic for a few weeks. And Bathurst has lane closures all the way up to St. Clair.

We could meet at the Miller Tavern @ Yonge and York Mills, in the Green P parking lot and then cruise north to Steeles and then over to Woodbine, but let's forget about cruising Yonge this year.

Why not do the southwood rd cruise to the new bakery I keep talking about.
We could go up to Webbers for lunch then up to the NEW PIE SHOP at the end of Southwood rd at least its a cruise out of the city.

Sorry Randy, I've made plans for after lunch at Frankie Tomatto already so I won't be going up north. That's too long a day for me this Saturday.

I've officially cancelled this cruise so post up a new thread for the cruise up to Gravenhurst/Bala.

Dammit, I was looking forward to this, missed pretty much every cruise this year besides the HDRs.
But totally understand Mr Stan, no worries.

A friend of mine who works at Adam's invented something he named the "Turbo Stick" Hands-down the best way to clean your inner wheel without the time and risk of jacking up your car to remove them. I've used mine regularly for about 5 years now and it still looks/works like new. Under a minute a wheel, keeps the face of the wheel a lot cleaner too.

Details here:

Those visiting Carlisle can get them at Adam's Car Polishes booth.

this is what i use, and can be bent at the handle to reach hard to get at places, slides easily between the caliper and wheel and caliper and spoke.
and has worked for me for 2 year.

Dude, I don't know what your issue with me is lately, we have always been cool, at least I thought so. I can take a joke, but why do you have to take a jab on so many posts outta nowhere.

I moved to Bradford, 30 kms North of where I was. I actually like it here and financially a very smart move. I don't need to defend it. You live in Keswick, talk about throwing stones from glass houses...

Sorry for the hijack Stan. Hopefully we can do a cruise North somewhere, downtown is a disaster anyways.
