I'm going to make a case for the red. I like it. The problem is that you need to add a bit more before it'll look right.
If I was commited to the red I'd do a LITTLE red pinstriping on hood and rear bumper. The hand drawn stuff not the cheap stickon stuff from the 80's, 90's.
I'd paint the wheels black and do the calipers in the same red. If I went really nuts I'd get the red painted on the outer edge of rims as well.
Add the red corvette lettering to the rear bumper and call it quits. Any more than that and it will look like Hulk Hogans car.
