Update
All, with the forecast looking much better up north on Sunday and after discussing with a number of people at the HDR the date is still TBD for either Saturday or Sunday weekend of the 17th/18th. Apologies for any confusion. Please check back here on for an update Friday evening on the day which looks to be the best (currently calling for thunderstorms in Toronto and 15mm rain in Minden/Gravenhurst for Saturday and minimal for Sunday)

Im going to try to make Sunday as well. My Corvette is undergoing some work, - but my wife has "allowed" me to drive her LS3 2015 Camaro. Hope to see you all there.

Was great cruise today, nice to see Mike J out ripping, was great to see Murray again, lookin good Murray, great seeing everyone out. Faraz did an awesome job of routing and we all stayed together for
most part. Great choice of eateries Murray and Faraz. Nice to see Anthony out, he looked to be enjoying himself, especially pulling the winning tickets. Randy won the recording device, i forgett the name, but was not a GP, and Rebekka won the car, gas for the car . I had to cut out early unfortunatley. And it was all for a great cause. Kudos to Farraz, his wife and daughters. Well done sir !

The gang is all here in Norland, Ontario
After a spirited drive on the Deep Bay Road we pulled in to Rhubarb at 35 and 118 for lunch
Buddy Al's new C7….beautiful car
A very happy and generous Rebekka the 50/50 winner.
Randy with the lucky ticket for the video camera.
Missed a couple of people from the group shot
A great cruise Faraz and hopefully a great contribution to the Sick Kids Hopspital.
I know gas is cheap these day but throwing it out on the highway is a little much. Hope everyone missed that can.
Great day it was really nice to see everyone. Hope you made it home safe.

Thank you
A BIG THANK YOU to those that not only participated in today's cruise, but also to those you contributed to the SickKids fundraiser.
Thank you everyone for the kind words, but an event like this is all about the enjoyment we have together - and I had a BLAST today!!!
Total donation so far from the HDR and today's cruise is $795! I am humbled by your generosity and kindness.
A HUGE thanks to Murray for the fantastic recommendation of Rhubarb Restaurant - the food was simply sublime and the location overlooking the lake, beautiful - thanks Murray.
Another HUGE thanks to Pomp for donating the Activeon Camera - thanks Pomp.
The winner of the Activeon Camera was Randy - that's one lucky hat Randy - better not lose it!
The winner of the 50/50 draw was Rebecca, who donated back a good chunk of the winnings, that was a wonderful gesture and extremely thoughtful (hope you kept some for gas home!).
I hope everyone enjoyed the roads we drove today - Deep Bay Road was a heck of a lot of fun and seeing the train of cars in the mirror was quite a sight.
Here are links to the route we took in case anyone was interested (didn't want to publish them prior to cause, well, who knows if Smokey monitors these pages: )
8555 Woodbine Avenue >> Tim Hortons >> Rhubarb Restaurant >> Don's Bakery
https://goo.gl/maps/UHaWmXRXLyn
Don's Bakery >> Webers
https://goo.gl/maps/Wqn42RfMZRM2
We didn't get to do this loop, but its on par with Deep Bay Road that we turned onto just before Minden:

As an FYI for those who were asking, there is still a week left to donate, here is the link that you can use:

Again, thank you to everyone for your help and support to the fundraiser. For those needing a tax receipt for their donation, please PM me and I will get one done for you (will need your full name and home address).
Cheers,
Faraz aka TEEK TAAK
P.S. Murray, I know you postponed your cruise earlier in the year and given where you are located, just name the date for a Fall Colours Cruise and I'm there. I'm sure with your knowledge of the area, it would be a stunning drive (yes, I'm nudging you and I am more than happy to help you plan it if needed!)

Melting Slicks
Glad everything went well and looks like we missed a great cruise folks! Received a call from a fellow Vet that I served with during the worst of times last night and hadn't seen in just under 30 years. He told me he was making the trip and would see me bright and early this morning. Again apologies and next time.
