My family and I are participating in The Great Adventure Walk for SickKids at the end of September and we signed up to help fundraise for this event.
In support of this, I am organizing a cruise on Sunday September 18th and hope to get a great turnout. Any amount you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated and a $20 donation will get you a tax receipt. Donation options are mentioned below, but first the cruise...
Date: Sunday, September 18
Departure Location: LA Fitness at Woodbine and Hwy 7 - Northeast corner (8555 Woodbine Avenue, Markham) - thanks for the tip Dan!
Departure Time: 10am (I will be there at 9:30am)
Cruise Details:
I hope this peaks some interest. This is my first cruise, so please be gentle with me!!! LOL
Finally, here is a link to our team site (please hold off on the comments of the team name, I may change it to Polkaroo's... vs. Charlie's...). Three ladies, a girl dog and me...you know who wins that team naming exercise!

I will also be panhandling at the upcoming HDR's, so feel free to donate then or on the cruise itself. Any amount is greatly appreciated. We are already 75% towards our target, so hope this great community can get us over and well beyond our goal!
If you aren't able to make the HDR's or the cruise, please donate through the link above.
If you are planning to come, post up here so that I can get an idea of numbers as I need to finalize things at the lunch venue soon.
Finally, this is not a Corvette only cruise, so if you have any friends who would want to tag along, please let them know!
Thanks in advance and looking forward to seeing you on the 18th!!!

Cruise Details:
- I am planning on heading up Hwy 404 to where it ends and do a rolling pick up of anyone that may be up there. Suggest those meeting us there wait at the Woodbine Park and Ride (at Hwy 404 and Woodbine) and join in as we turn north off the exit. We should be there anytime after 10:20am (If you are planning to meet us here, PM me and I will share my cell number in case you miss us).
- From there, will head up to Minden and grab lunch at Rhubarb/Boshkung Brewery (http://rhubarbhaliburton.com) - thanks for the tip Murray!
- After lunch, will head west through Gravenhurst and into Bala (Don's Bakery (http://www.donsbakery.ca) for those with Butter Tart tendencies).
- For those not into Tarts, there is a 30 minute loop we can check out, while those that are stock up.
- After Tarts and Turns, we'll head back through "that" road and I'll make a final stop at Webers (http://webers.com) before we go our separate ways.
I hope this peaks some interest. This is my first cruise, so please be gentle with me!!! LOL

Faraz, I will join in with the group somewhere south of Minden.
Minden itself has some good eateries but the problem is parking, especially for this group.
Can I offer some help in scouting out a location that has sufficient parking and will be open in the area?
Worthy cause and hopefully the 17th will be a great day cause I don't think I can make it on the 18th.
Well done.

Al, do you mean that you will be peddling the bike on the roof of the Honda while your wife is actually driving the car? Or do you mean you will be peddling the bike to Haliburton?
Either way I look forward to seeing you. I mean it is not every day to you get to see Al in one of those fancy biking outfits.

Bump to the top for a good cause and a great drive.
Get to see Al in spandex and that is worth getting the car filled up and ready to go.
