Faraz, just a thought about the route next Sunday. It is the Bala Cranberry Festival Weekend and the place is an absolute zoo, traffic is really restricted and they have to bus people in from some distance to attend.
That said it might be best to go left on 118 off 632 just south of Port Sandfield to Port Carling and back to Bracebridge and head south. You could take Muskoka Beach Road back to Gravenhurst if you want some more twists and turns.
I think the colours will still be pretty good unless we get a lot of rain and wind this week. They are close to but not at their peak yet in Haliburton.

Will modify the route to avoid Bala and post up when I figure it out.
Ron - where is the 100 yard patch on 17 coming out of Gravenhurst. It was fine when we did the SickKids Cruise a couple weeks back. I know about the bridge construction on 118/11. Perhaps we just bypass that section but was hoping to get that in.

Ahhh, ok...can we just crawl it through there and warn everyone of it...is it nice run through, think we should be fine if it's only 100ft or so. Maybe will be done by the time we get up there too. Thanks Ron.
Where would your crew meet up with us and how many people cars/people...need to know for the restaurant.

Guys I am a bit confused about where this bad or under repair stretch of road is. I have to go to Washgo this week and don't mind having a look if you can give me some more details.

Just to confirm about a 100ft stretch along 118 midway when returning from Port Carling east towards Bracebridge. Ron, did I get it right. Not much choice here if we need to avoid Bala due to the festival.

Murray, my bad as I misinterpreted the section Ron was talking about.

not a big deal if you know it's there
Road 118 between Port C. and Brac. is a great cruise rd.

So sounds like the only thing to avoid is Bala...I will modify the route and post an update later.

You will be eviscerated if you make the decision the night before and the day of turns out to be a great day. Best to wait till 5 min before everyone is to meet up and then post a yay or nay.
