i have Northbridge now, they discontinued all the discounts this year, so, depending when yours renews, you will get a hit also, any brokers i talked to say Northbridge is not the carrier of choice right now.

thanks for the input tho Roy.

I was with State Farm for almost 30 years but finally switched over to Belair direct over the summer and saved $600 a year on my two cars! (05 Corvette and 06 Civic)

This BS of insurance rates is ALWAYS because of politicians who have their hands where they don't belong, and the insurance company's GREED.

They'll raise your insurance rates for no reason and/or stupid reasons, even those of us with CLEAN DRIVING RECORDS...I was a victim of that this year, at renewal.

Then when you have to make a claim, it's like pulling teeth to get compensation you're ENTITLED to.

Why didn't you just switch companies? If you have a clean driving record and your insurance company raised rates for no reason, I'm sure another company would have given you a much better rate on your C7 and then you wouldn't have had to sell it

It just seems very odd that this would happen, as I have never seen a massive increase on my C5 or C6 Corvette's insurance in the 12 combined years I owned them, and so why would they target you like this? Not many people have complained about their Corvette's insurance going sky high for no reason. I'm not picking on you Frank, just curious as to what happened here? I feel really bad that you had to sell your C7 after having to wait so long to get it. That car was awesome! It sold for such a good price too, someone got a massive deal on it (wish it were me!)

Corvette ins is not expensive generally. My c7 is 250 less than my old Acura and 225 cheaper than my 08 Civic

My searches have it down to 2 companies, within 25 of each other and 700 cheaper than my current, last years policy, i have not received this year's policy yet so I'm sure it's going to be a couple hundred dollars more as my broker told me company was taking off all discounts this year and expect a $500 increase. For sur i m jumping ship.

Agreed, there are less Corvette's on the road meaning less accidents along with the fact that most drivers are older and more mature except for Al

What are the two companies?

My Corvette is also cheaper than my daily driver. I pay $106 per month for my 2006 Civic and only $95 for the Corvette. Before I switched to Bel air I was paying $145 for the Civic and $108 for the Corvette.

Well, you don't read too well obviously and if you don't read too well you'll probably never get to experience a senior discount.

From what I have read, you've had it to good for too long and it's partially because you have a seniors discount. Did I read that right?

I don't renew until May 29 2017. Not sure what the new Z06 will come in at. I hopefully will be taking delivery March/April 2017. Present C7 Stingray is the fourth Vette I've insured through Dalton Timmis and other that last year(2015) when it was $800.00 for some reason it has always been around $700.00 which is where it is now. The Harleys are about $950.00 each and that is pretty reasonable compared with what others are paying from what I hear. They didn't get discounted this year. Because I have the bikes, I can't just go anywhere as a lot of companies won't insure bikes. BTW, Dalton Timmis is the broker and they have always done alright by me in the past.
