2004 StockZ06 looking for mods
Hi guys been a while. Have a buddy who picked up an 04 Z06 bone stock and wants to have headers catted X pipe and exhaust installed. Its been a while since I was in the C5 game but I recall when I had mine I think I had ARH installed with a catted X pipe and Borla stingers. It was my favorite sounding vette. Anyway... doubt the car will seemuch beyond that so not sure but was thinking 1 3/4 headers (kooks) catted X pipe and Borla stingers. Suggestions on yeah or ney? Different combo? car is just a toy and he likes it to sound mean but doesn't have to be so loud that the dead in another country hear him. Thanks!

Maybe keep an eye out on C5 parts sale (US side). Good combos always pop up. Get it shipped to Niagara Falls, NY and drive over to pick it up. All new parts you are looking at $3k + US....

I've been keeping an eye open also. its not a rush thing but wanted to make sure people haven't had bad experiences with header leaks etc with a particular brand etc. hmmm..

Can't go wrong with ARH Mike, best quality and best fit !
1 3/4" or 1 7/8" , either will work well . As far as mufflers (catback), that is subjective, but drone wears on you, GHL has good sound on C5's
When are we seeing you in another vette again ?

Hey Mikey! I think you heard the cutouts on my Z. Try suggesting that to your buddy. It is my favourite thing that I've done to the car.. loud enough for the dead in another country to hear me, or as quiet as I want... at the flick of a switch (most times its the first option).
