Proximity to pits and accessibility to garages - Cdn Tire Mtrsprts Pk IMSA Jul 7-9
Certain IMSA Weathertech races have offered fans different experiences in terms of ability to be in or close to the garages particularly on the days prior to qualifying and race day. Road America provides a full race experience...close to pit wall, access to garages, team members will visit with you when they are not busy. What kind of experience can I expect at CTMP.
Are golf carts available for rental at CTMP?
Do any engineers or executives, like Jim Mero, Harlan Charles or Tadge make any presentations at the Corvette Corral (assuming that there is one).
Any suggestions of where to stay in a hotel close to the track. No camp ground this year for us.

No golf cart rentals at CTMP, however, during race day the last few years, there have been courtesy shuttle 6-person carts running that you can hop on to get around the track quicker.
Several Corvette personalities such as Harlan and Kirk Bennion are there every year. I can't remember if Tadge has been there or not. Since Ron Fellows is an owner of CTMP, you will see him as well.
CTMP is in a somewhat rural area, there are no hotels close to the track. My American friends that come here for the races have been staying at the Whitby Motel 6 for many years; it is about a ~30min drive to the track from there:

There are 2 hotels in the Bowmanville area that are a little closer:

Tadge does not attend this race. Golf carts are not available for rent except for teams. The paddocks are accessable at all times.
We have a large group that stays out at the Comfort Inn in Port Hope. You could check if they still have rooms open at the Corvette rate. .. Janet

The IMSA race weekend experience at CTMP is pretty much the same as the American tracks. I have attended these races every year at CTMP since 2005, and I have also been to these races at Mid Ohio, Road America, and Watkins Glen. The team paddocks are all open to the public the entire weekend, and most of the teams will let you in their garages if you ask nicely in the days prior to qualifying and race day.
