Hi Everyone
We are changing this trip because the drive back from Memphis is too long to make in one day.
See new plan below:
Day 1 – THURSDAY, May 25th - Leave Thursday morning, and drive to Horse Cave which is just north of Bowling Green in Kentucky.
The Hotel is:
Hampton Inn Horse Cave
750 Flint Ridge
Horse Cave, KY 42749, US
Phone: 1-270-786-5000
Fax: 1-270-786-5003
Check-In: May 25, 2017
Check-Out: May 26, 2017
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 2 – FRIDAY - Get up Friday morning and head to the Corvette Assembly Plant for a tour that starts at 9:00 am. It is 1 hour long. Then head over to the Corvette Museum (a 5 minute drive). Tour the Museum until everyone is satisfied – should take no longer than 2 to 3 hours max. Then leave BG and head north to Louisville, Kentucky ( a 2-hour drive maximum). In Louisville an interesting thing to do is to visit a Bourbon Distillery or just visit the downtown which has a bunch of restaurants with a Bourbon theme – Bourbon is big in this part of the world….
Hotel in Louisville is:
Drury Inn and Suites Louisville North
9597 Brownsboro Road
Louisville, KY 40241, US
Phone: 1-502-425-5500
Fax: 1-502-425-5500
Check-In: May 26, 2017
Check-Out: May 27, 2017
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 3 – SATURDAY – Leave Louisville Saturday morning and head north to Cleveland ( a 5-hour drive). In Cleveland we have some options: one idea is to go see the Indians play – they are playing Kansas City Royals that night, or go to the Cleveland Flats which is an area by the Lake with a bunch of cool restaurants.
The Hotel in Cleveland is:
Hampton Inn Richfield
4860 Brecksville Road
Richfield, OH 44286, US
Phone: 1-330-659-6662
Fax: 1-330-659-9585
Check-In: May 27, 2017
Check-Out: May 28, 2017
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 4 – SUNDAY – Head to the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame Sunday morning. It opens at 10:00. Do the Hall for a few hours and then head home. The drive to Toronto is approx 5 hours.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am happy to order tickets to the Plant Tour and Museum for you - they cost $16 USD (combo price)
I would ask each of you to reserve your hotel directly.
So far I have to following people confirmed:
Myself
Al
Max
Rick and spouse
Stan
Frank Psaila
Once our list is finalised we can decide about the baseball game and order tickets to the Hall of Fame...
Thanks

Al, I think you are referring to crossing at Sarnia when you refer to I94?? Sure, or Fort Erie. According to Google maps crossing at Fort Erie only adds 20 minutes, so the 2 routes are pretty much equal. The advantage to crossing at Fort Erie is that you can make the crossing earlier in the morning before it gets busier rather than crossing at Detroit or Sarnia where it will be closer to mid-day by the time you get there.
I am no navigator. Rick, you know the US roads tons better than me and I would defer to you....

Hi All,
I got some news from the Museum today. Because GM has made changes to shifts at the assembly plant they are going to be closed Fridays from now on. Therefore we can't do the plant tour on May 26th.
A solution would be to head down a day early and do the tour on the Thursday May 25th. This means heading down on the Wednesday morning and moving the whole trip up a day.
I have sent you PM"s to try and figure this out.
Thanks Jack

Hope you have a safe trip down and back and just wanted to say thank you for honouring "The Cripp" , I am sure he will be smiling.
Have fun and hopefully someone will remember to take a camera.
