Default Haze is gone for this extreme user.

Just want to report back my success with Zaino.

You might have seen my post last week.

After applying the following in a 3 week period:
4 coats of Z2
2 coats of Z5
5 buffs with Z6...
I was getting a reappearing surface haze.

Talked with Sal Zaino. He helped me diagnose my problem.

As it turned out, I put on the Zaino way too thick. I used almost 8 oz of Z2, 4 oz of Z5, and a half a bottle of Z6.

So, this is what I did to get rid of the haze.

1. Buffed the car once with a plain old fine mist of water spray, and a clean cotton towel.

2. Let the car stand in the bright sun for most of Saturday. We got up to 68 degrees.

3. Left her uncovered in the garage Saturday night. (This was the first time she was without a cover.)

4. Buffed the car again on Sunday morning with fine mist of water, and a clean cotton towel.

The haze is gone, and my baby looks great!

And according to Sal, I have had enough Viagra to keep it hard and shinning for the next 6 years.....

So my recommendation...... Zaino your car as thin as possible. With my next coat, I will be shooting for 1/2 oz total for the whole car.

Wish me luck.

Even that may be thick.

For a Corvette, shoot for 3 full coats with 1 oz.

A little goes a long way. I get 2 coats out of 1/2 oz. I also rarely put more than 2 coats on at once. You don't need multiple coats to give a beautiful finish like most think. One coat looks better than anything out there, two or three and it looks unbelievable, any more and you are maxxing out. On my show car I will add 1 coat every time I wash and it looks perfect. You were definetly in product overload mode.
