I have a set of HREs that are polished and have a clear coat over it. I usually just use turtle wax.

Any good quality wax will do. Can't get much better than what you're using.

not true, carnuba breaks down in heat, you need something synthetic to meet the heat demands of a wheel.

The old Turtle is as good if not better than anything out there. I even bought some "Wheel Wax" - no different than regular wax.

The new Turtle waxes like Finish 2000 and Turtle Wax Ultra ARE synthetic. They are silicone based with "high tech polymers".

A sealant will be the best due to their resistance to heat.
Zaino and Klasse are the most durable sealants.

Although have seen some long lasting results with our
DP Wheel Glaze also. Infact, I am coating my new Iforged Swifts with it currently.
