Default Honest.........(long) haha..

Now that I am not busy with work, I devote more time to car care..
I do try to read this section often..

Funny how everyone claims one product works better than another..
I just thought I'd post because almost every claim on every product gets reviews & opinions from complete different sides of the spectrum...

So, I thought I'd give MY (like anyone of you care) unbiased views on some of the most popular stuff.. haha...

Rejex..
Hummm... everyone claims slippery slippery slippery..
Gee, I tried some on a small section, and it doesn't feel any slicker than anything else I've ever used...

NXT...
Yea, I've tried it..
Actually not bad.. I know it has cleaners in it, but so what, it made my car look really good.. I think using a product with mild cleaning agents is not bad every 5-6 time you wash or polish your car.
I could care less about "durability claims..

Zaino...
Yea, the old standard...
I REALLY like the way Z2 PRO goes on & off..
Makes a good clean surface look & feel great.
A definite thumbs up..
ZFX? I can't tell the difference with it or without it.
However I DO use it when I have time to put on multiple coats, make that when my KIDS have the time..

Soverign:
Carnuba.. Humm, why should I use a natural product on my chemically snythetic acrylic clear coat? I could never understand this... Anyway, goes on good, looks good, but why can't I stop thinking my car looks kinda "oily" after using it..

Wolfgang:
MMMM mmmmmm GOOD!
On/off with ease.. Sealer so they say, but I think my car looks the BEST after claying & a coat of this stuff..
Sometimes I 'll put some Wolfgang as a topper to Zaino Z2 Pro..
Hey, works for me..

P21S paint cleaner...
none better.. I use this AFTER a clay job, maybe once a year.
Preps the surface & picks up anything the clay missed..

Lemon Pledge..
Makes the car pop big time.. Gloss, depth & slickness beyond compare.
REPELS dust.. Durability? Don't know, don't care...

Z6..
I like this better than Z8... Wipe on & off.. Great quick detailer..

Souns:
Meant for acrylics, does nothing for me compared to Z6, same as Crystal Mist which is carnauba based..

BeadEX..
Good product.. Makes the car feel slick.. Silicone in there..
Who cares.. Not me..

Wheel Wax..
I thought this was better and easier than using Z2 on chrome rims..
They do look good & have protection..

DP Wheel Glaze..
I like this purple stuff the best, better than Wheel Wax.
Goes on & off easier & I think makes the chrome shiner.

How many people concur with my reviews..?
Not many I'll bet..
But then again, my waxer days are behind me..

I just want my car looking good when it can..
Not gonna stress any scratches, chips etc..
More important things to worry about..

I still enjoy hearing all the "rave" reviews about all the products..
I think its funny how one person can say something about a product, & I can't determine 1 single iota of a difference between that product & another..

P.S. No EAGLES game on TV, no hockey, got the chrome CCW's back on my car, no poker torunaments today, kids & wife are out, already played hockey, worked out, take a guess who's bored..?

How do you apply the lemon pledge? Spray it on a towel, or just spray it on the car and wipe off.

Thanks

Yo-El ,

Always a good read, even if we dont necessarily always agree. I see you missed something from your previous posts however, what about the fresh rain-water, did you stop doing that ??

Nope.. haha..
But since rain is not a purchased product I didn't include it, but will give the tip now..

If your car is clean, next time it rains, back it out of the garage to give it a fresh rain water drench..

Pull it in & towel dry it off..
Your car will sparkle like never before..

The keys here are:
Your car MUST be clean, and you must dry it off immediately.

No need for a freshwater rinse.
Let the natural cleaning of the rain do its magic, without etching!

This has got to be the 1 solid tip most will agree on!

good post -- good to hear opinions from someone who's tried many products.

I know what you mean about that "oily" feeling -- I really felt that way with NXT myself.

Also Wolfgang I think is , and not often mentioned in here. REALLY great finish, but my problem was that if I applied it in the garage, was very easy to miss a spot when rubbing off, and then the next day -- if you see a missed spot in the sun, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get the stuff off.

Spray it on the car and wipe it off. Just like dusting your coffee table!

I felt this way with the NXT and the 4 Star UPP. It seems to sort of "smear" a bit. I have also noticed a *hint* of this with the Souveran but I don't think that I was applying it at the correct film thickness.

Good review. It is nice to see everyone's opinions. I think the best advice is to find what works for YOU and to stick with it.

two tricks to removing spots missed while using any sealant. Apply a little more and wipe off immediately. Or ... use a spray detailer. Both make quick work of it and will not remove or damage the sealant itself.
