Default Meguiar's Quick Detailer ???

When using Meguiar's QD, what type of towel do you use to wipe on/wipe off? I think the microfiber w/ 70% poly/30% cotton leaves little scratches. Anyone have a better one to use?

Also, since I use QD in between car washes, do I need to use something to 'take off' the QD, or can I wash as usual with car wash soap?

I spray NXT QD on to an orange micro fiber hand towel.
I stopped using terry cloth when I got my C6.
Microfiber is much softer IMO. Car wash will remove most of QD, its a non issue. My base is now Rejex which set's everything up for easy wipe off including nose splats.

I either use a plush towel from Pak Shak or a DF Concours towel.

There isn't any need to "take off" a QD.

I use Meguiar's Waffle Weave towels for everything. They are the next generation of drying towel and they take wax off easily too.

IMHO, the DF Concours is the best towel out there!

I agree, the DFTowels are the best, you can get some great deals on them from Carl at www.hcvone.com. I also like pakshak waffle weaves for drying.

yes, couldn't agree more. No synthetic MF towels on the paint for detailing. 100% cotton bath towel from Ralph Lauren outlet, cut up with a scissors - my favorite softest towels. I also have some DFtowels which I like. Those are the things I use for quick detailing, and for wax/sealant removal.

For drying, I do use a cobra waffle weave towel, very lightly on the surface. The only time I'll let a synthetic product touch the paint.
