Good question, not sure if you can. Did you try to call Sal and ask him ?
I personally wouldn't myself since Z6 is half the price Z8 so it makes sense to use the cheaper stuff for that sort of thing. Again, just my opinion

if you look at their website. It says that z8 is not a replacement for z6 and that you should still use z6. Z8 is for that deep shine and for special ocasion, i forget exactly what it says on the site exactly. I use z8 maybe once a week, if that. Look up their site for the specific details. i cant remember off hand. hope that helps ya out

Yes you can use Z-8 between coats like Z-6.
The reason you have heard that "it is not a replacement" is that the cost of Z-8 is twice as much as Z-6.
Z-8 is recommended for special occasions (like car shows).
Z-6 is sufficient to use between coats to layer Z-2 Pro, Z-3, & Z-5.
Layering gives you the deep wet shine that Zaino is famous for producing.

Does Z-8 replace Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray?
No. For most detailers, both Z-8 and Z-6 play important roles in the overall gloss and protection of your vehicles finish.
When would I use Z-8 verses Z-6?
Z-6 would continue to be used for quick details to remove dust and soil between washes as well as for daily maintenance. Z-8 would be used for the extra protection and that extra zing in gloss needed for special occasions.
Can I layer an application of Z-8 over Z-6?
Sure. Some have chosen a quick wipe down with Z-6 prior to a final detail using Z-8 to achieve added gloss.
Can I use Z-8 daily on my vehicle’s finish?
Yes, but for many of our customers, it is simply not cost effective to use Z-8 daily. Like a very fine wine, some may decide to have it every evening at dinner, yet others choose to save the finest for only special occasions. It’s really up to you.
Do I use Z-8 or Z-6 between coats of Zaino Show Car Polishes (Z-2 PRO, Z-3 and Z-5)?
Either Z-6 or Z-8 will achieve fantastic results. For our more budget conscious customers, outstanding results have and will continue to be attained using Z-6 prior to each application of Zaino polish. We’re spoiled; we use Z-8 all the time

You could, but Z8 is meant as a finisher since it's gloss is a bit higher. I think if you are using it between coats, you probably waste it's finishing touch by applying more Z2 over it. Z8 is meant to go on last and bring out the shine.
Z6 is fine in between.

Like agentf1, I only use z8 after a wash, as the final step.
I'd never use it as a quick detailer - I use z6 for that.
And in between coats, as the instructions above state, yes it will work, but personally I use z6 instead.
