Default Fresh paint and a long drive - suggestions?

Greetings fellow enthusiasts,

I have just had the front bumper of my polo '96 LT4 vert repainted from a decade of stone chipping, and I am taking it on a cross-country summer road trip from Chicagoland out to my new home on the west coast. The paint is too fresh to wax it, and I need to protect it for the 2000-mile drive with something temporary - and a bra is out of the question. What is everyone using these days for the long distance cruise-ins? Are there any billiant new spray-on inventions I can use?

Thanks,
Dave

Blue painter's tape. It will look a little funny going down the road, but it will save your paint (you can layer it if necessary), and it comes off very easily.

Awesome suggestion Zane, thanks. Where's the best place to get it? Can I get a fat width so I'm not applying a zillion thin strips?

I have herd of people using plastic wrap (saran) Will cling and comes off easy. You may wish to give a try.

You can pick up 3M blue painter's tape at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. in a variety of widths.

Make sure the vehicle is freshly cleaned before applying.
