Fresh paint and a long drive - suggestions?
Greetings fellow enthusiasts,
I have just had the front bumper of my polo '96 LT4 vert repainted from a decade of stone chipping, and I am taking it on a cross-country summer road trip from Chicagoland out to my new home on the west coast. The paint is too fresh to wax it, and I need to protect it for the 2000-mile drive with something temporary - and a bra is out of the question. What is everyone using these days for the long distance cruise-ins? Are there any billiant new spray-on inventions I can use?
Thanks,
Dave

Blue painter's tape. It will look a little funny going down the road, but it will save your paint (you can layer it if necessary), and it comes off very easily.
