i use it, love the thing.
it sucks brand new .. so don't get discouraged. It needs to get a little dirty before the magic happens.
And no it doesn't harm the finish. Its super soft.

When you first buy it, take some paper towels or newspaper to soak up the oil that it initially has.
I have been using a CALIFORNIA DUSTER on my BLACK vette for the last two years and it has worked great! The more you use it, the better.

... I love mine.
Just make sure you use it on "dust"--- not dirt.
And as you use it, apply no pressure... let the braids hang and "glide" along the surface... If you use it to scrub a spot... you can/will scratch the clear

I would be lost without it, but as Dave (MyVetteDream) stated - it's for dust, not bird poop or dirt. A very light stroke will make your paint happy. Come to think of it - there are a lot of things that are happier with a light stroke......

My last two cars plus wife's car have been black. C Duster is a lifesaver. Get a small one for the interior too. Just wrap in newspaper for a couple days before using it.
BUT... for dusty waxed cars only! Not dirty cars of any kind/color. If it doesn't pick it up with a very light touch, break out the water bucket.
