I have used this product many times and have some in my shop, you can do small areas by hand but if doing an entire panel or the whole car, foorrgettaaboutit (as Sal would say) The abrasives are too rough and need the speed and heat of a buffer to work properly, plus your arms and hands would be like putty if you tried to do it all over.

if you are worried about possible swirls from the recommended lambswool pad, use a foam pad on an orbital. i have not had a swirl yet. good luck!

not sure about that. i don't have an air buffer. just a 10" elictric orbital. it works great for me. :D good luck.
