Default Product Review: Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System

I bought this kit from Autogeek several months back but just got around to using it. For one.. it takes an electric drill and I finally found one to borrow. I have a 95' Lexus ES 300 that is my DD. The headlights look absolutely terrible and have looked that way for 7 years. I've been trying to figure out how to restore them but never figured it out until I found this product. Wow... it was so easy.. wish I would have gotten to it sooner. Check out the before and after shots below.

I also got a chance to use Zaino on this DD for the first time... it is a dark metallic blue color and I have never seen the shine or depth to this paint before.. absolutely incredible!!! I'd post pics but the sun had gone down and the shine didn't come out well in the photos so I'll wait on some sunlight.

I did this on a friends Malibu with the kit and a cordless Dewalt drill.

I was very suprised not only by how well this product worked but how quickly it worked. I've tried different methods of correcting this in the past with no results but after one pass of the buffing pad I saw results with this method. I was completely done in 5 minutes. This is a two step process... the kit comes with two different cutting pads, a nice microfiber towel (autogeek thinks of everything), two compounds.. a lens cleaner and a finishing glaze, and the backing plate mount for your drill. I was under the impression that it took the speed of an electric drill to complete the process but if Killerwheels got it done with a cordless, I could have been done with this a long time ago.

That is incredible. At first glance it looks like not a chance those lenses will ever look new again. Seeing is believing. Great job, and thanks for sharing!

Lookin' good...now get some protection on those refurbished lenses...my recommendation would be Weathertech Lampguards from MacNeil Products.

I have used them on all of my DDs and even after 94k miles, the headlights on my '03 VW looked like they the just came off the assembly line.

If you get them, follow the directions to the letter and you will never know they are there without looking closely...

That is exactly what I was thinking... and to be honest I was expecting to be let down after a whole lotta work. But much to my suprise and amazement after 5 minutes of work that was the outcome. Makes my car look like a different car now. I was always ashamed of those lights but now I can't quit admiring them

Thanks for the tip I got a four ounce bottle of the cleaner and the glaze with the product kit and I only used maybe half an ounce to clean the lenses... I'm almost looking forward to using the stuff again but won't let my lenses get that bad again.

I have that kit sitting on my shelf, I need to use it once the weather warms up. In looking the before and after pics they just motivated me to remember to use it.
