Too much power with the various shop vac that are out there, and the battery powered ones are not something to write home about, I simply use the household vacuum cleaner, remove the mats and run it once and all are clean in minutes, use the extension hose with the various adapters for where ever you want to reach, including the vents.

I had one of the black and decker handhelds for a few years before the battery just stopped working well. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one and now they supposedly have the better Lithium Ion batteries.

And not to thread jack, but does anyone have any feedback on how loud the Hoover GUV is? I didn't see it specified. I assume it is loud like a shop vac.
