Best Car Wax?
Can anyone please let me know what the best wax is to use? My car is feeling a little rough and I tried the Black Magic wax and it did nothing. Any help is appreciated.

There is a ton of info in this forum:

My personal favorite is Adam's but there are many good ones out there. If your paint is rough, you will have to use clay first, then apply polish with a machine and then wax.

...go to the main menu and scroll down through all of the forums. You may not realize what's available here.
Try the Detailing forum for answers. They'll probably recommend either ZAINO or ADAM'S for products.

Wow....that should give you quite a few responses. Although there are many good products, I have used Meguires most of the time. I use the cleaner, followed by the polish, and then their premium wax using an orbital to apply it, and usually just using a microfiber or soft clean terrycloth to remove, turning often. Afterwards, I use a polishing cloth with the orbital to give it a little more luster. If you have some spiderwebs, you can try the scratch remover. It helps some, but most scratches need more power to remove than an orbital can do, though I haven't tried the $180 ones. After that, I can use a California Duster and quick detail spray for a few weeks unless I run into major dirt before I wash again. I would expect you can use Mothers products as well, they seem pretty good. And quite a few here seen to swear by one other, but I don't remember the name. I'm sure someone can post it....starts with "S" but a little more expensive for the three part treatment. I'm not sure how much better it is....using the three part Meguires works very well for me....you can also clay bar it to start, which will clean your surface. For me, the Meguires cleaner works like the clay bar, you can feel the difference on your paint. Good luck! And give yourself 2-3 hours for a good detail!

i use meguairs cleaner wax...goes on fast and protects really well, nothing sticks to it and it looks as good as any 100 dollar wax, but...it doesn't last long 14 to 30 days tops outside and one car wash and its gone. but you can wax your car in 10-15 minutes!
otherwise i put zaino on the pretty car and it takes a long time to get two coats on -2+ hours but geez the stuff lasts forever and a carwash does not take it off.
meguiars is 1950 technology and zaino is todays tech

Zaino, no wait Adams, no wait Zymol, no wait
As long as you do some searching here and claybar the car, use what you like. The claybar and prep will make a huge difference regardless of wax or polish.

Griots
I have been using Griots, and have been very happy. I bought the whole kit with the buffer and carry pack and all. Spent a few hours one weekend polishing the car to perfection, and it has been very easy to keep clean and shiny since. I can't say that it's better than any other (except black magic, that stuff SUX!!!!), but I can say I am very pleased with the results.

Adam's Polishes, Zaino, Mequires NXT - all are very good. Just depends on your personal preference.

Well, since everyone else is too busy trying to dump on you for asking a reasonable question, I will give you my opinion. I have used just about everything. I have settled on Adams Products. Easy to use and gives a good shine. Zaino freaks will tell you different but IMHO, Adams is better and less work. Now you have it.
