You need water and soap.

Dry cleaning is for wool.

I tried ONE from Chemical Guys, actually I only tried it once or twice and that was to remove some light dust. If the car is really filthy it gets washed with soap and water.

However, I have used Optimum No Rinse (ONR) which I've found to be very effective and if used as directed it does not scratch. You simply mix two capfuls into a bucket of water and use a microfiber cloth to wash the car. It's not waterless per say but doesn't require a hose.

Autogeek sells ONR, check it out. http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-no-rinse.html

might have to look into that ONR. Unfortunately, here in Atlanta, we don't have the option of soap and water, unless you go to the coin wash, and that isn't optimal either. I hand wash, but the soap starts to dry before I can wash the whole car and put more quarters in to rinse.

Ask around in the car care section, or on autopia.org and I'd bet six in one half dozen the other that either ONR or QEW will be recommended.

I just picked up another gallon of ONR (my car is black) but in reality since it's concentrated even the 32oz bottle will go a long way.

The two class leaders are Optimum and DP ... we carry both as needed. Protect-All might be another choice.

Default Dri-Wash

I have been using Dri-Wash on all my cars for years with fantastic results. Goes on and off very easy and leaves a high-gloss shine. I feel its best to wash the car first but there are times when I'm on the road at a hotel where there is no water available and the car is dusty and I have used Dri-Wash on a dry car with no issue.

For Light dust and dirt I like Poorboys Spray and Wipe. I follow that with Spray and gloss.

Does the DP 4-in-1 smell any better than ONR? I noticed they're both similar products.

ONR is fine once diluted in water but as a QD it is somewhat intoxicating.

I remember the original scent of ONR and it was disgusting, the newer scent is much more pleasurable. For a great smell, and product too, try this new version.

The Optimum No Rinse and the Chemical Guys Hose Free Eco Wash are the two products of choice for this task in my experience. They help you wash without having to hose the vehicle after.
