Default armor all spray on car polish, do you remember this product?

well here is my story, started using this when it first came out, it was either late 1995 or early 1996, it was originaly called armor plate. used to use it on my 94 firehawk, 96 camaro ss and my 87 grand national all cars were black and this was the best stuff i had ever bought, spray on wipe off amazing shine and would mask all swirls spiderwebbing and light scratches as well and the entire car could be done in 10 min rather than hours of rubbing, about 2001 i could not find it in stores anymore, looked everywhere up and down and nobody had it, i had a few bottles left so i figured when the armorall was all gone i would switch to something else, well the time came and tried numerous different spray on products and they all sucked to say the least, called armorall and they said item has been discontinued, then in 2003 i found a company that still had this stuff in stock so i ordered 3 cases of it 6 bottles to a case so i had 18 spray bottles in my stock to last me a long long time, so today i figured i would wipe down the black zo6 with it then it dawned on me at how amazing this stuff really is, my z looked awesome deep dark shine and it took all of 10 min to do, i know boring story and an old product but want to know if anyone out there still has this stuff or used it in the past and what your thoughts were on it, also, name was changed to spray on car polish a few years after armor plate, i can post a pic of the bottle if anyone is interested in seeing it or to refresh the old memory,

I remember that stuff, not to bad for a quick touch up if I remember correctly. Never used it on black though. I think I still have a mini bottle of it around here

works best on black and dark colors, my boss had used it on his dark maroon 96 impala ss back in the day and it worked wonders.

Default Found one

I just bought one today at my local rural grocery store. There were several on the clearance table. Everyone might want to check the nearest out of the way stores and see if they have any bottles sitting on the shelf 15 years. Amazon and eBay didn't have any.

The product likely involved ingredients prior to VOC regulations. At some point all the old stuff that didn't comply was likely returned and destroyed. If you found some and like the product, consider yourself lucky.

What I would offer is that those looking for something modern that does something similar, look to the WOWA sealants. The cool part is WOWA (Wipe On Walk Away) sealants need little to no buffing. Optimum, Wolfgang, Blackfire, Ultima, and more make these newer options.

(its funny to see posts from 8-10 years ago come back into use)

haha, funny this post came back from the dead, to be honest i have tried all different brands of sprays of what they claim is the best shine, and they all "SUCK" i still have probaly 12 full bottles left and this is by far the best stuff i have ever used period!!! someone needs to duplicate this stuff if they can, hands down the best stuff ever, thats why i bought 3 cases of leftover stock back in 2003 because everything else i bought was just a waste of $$$

This thread was created in 2008. You shouldn't look for anything 12 years old.
