Does Anyone Else Discard The Duster Handle?
I use a California Duster, but I take out the stick because there is too much chance of hitting the car somewhere. Does anyone else do this?

I don't see how in the heck you use it with no handle in it??? the duster should not be laid flat on the surface of the paint, the only thing that needs to touch the paint is the tips of the strands so you have to use the handle to hover the duster about 6 inches off the surface.

Good question. How are you using it without the handle? It needs to be glided very lightly over the car's surface with the only pressure coming from the weight of the strands.

Re: Does Anyone Else Discard The Duster Handle? (Intermezzo)
I guess I never read the directions. I've used one for years and have always let the full weight of the duster go against the car. I've never gotten even a hair scratch. Of course, the duster isn't used if I can actually see dust on the car either. Maybe I'll read the directions the next time I get a new one. In fact, there is one coming in the mail soon. I'll have to check it out.
