I've used NXT on the family cars and not noticed this but it might. Use peanut butter. Really. I've used 3M wax (adhesive) remover but always worry that it might accelerate cracking. Somehow, I don't think Jif is going to hurt anything.
using painters tape to mask areas helps to avoid these problem areas. If a marking appears you simply put some PB on it, allow to sit for a couple minutes, and wipe off with a damp towel. The oils in it seem to release the compounds and cleaners making the original mark.
So you guys put peanut butter ????
How do you guys apply it and how do you guys remove it ?
I have an old almost empty peanut butter jar in the garage. I wipe the inside of the jar with a clean cotten towel picking up a small amout of peanut butter. Rub on trim. Turn towel and wipe off. Good luck
I use an old toothbrush to rub in the peanut butter. I then wipe it off. Then you can clean with soap and water and even apply the sealant of your choice.
