Cleaning and polishing aluminum....my Harley
Hi Folks,
I have a real challenge ahead of me to clean up and polish my Harley engine. The engine was polished to an almost mirror finish before installing in the frame. Lack of efficient maintenence has really dulled the finish. Over the years I've tried many polishes, polishing wads, polishing accessories, etc. First of all, I can't sufficiently get into the area between the engine cooling fins AND it's a bloodied knuckle experience to get into all those little nooks and crannies. I really don't want to remove and disassemble the engine for polishing either
Need some solid advice as to what equipment I need to get the job done right. Tried all the bike forums but no real solutions. Any ideas?
TIA

A good metal polish like our Wolfgang Metalwerks line or English Custom Polishes (do google search, lots of good info on their site). I have found a Powerball Mini and wool polishing head helps tremendously. P21S makes a polishing soap that removes the tarnish rather quickly, but metal polishing has to be done afterwards to bring back the glistening. Its super easy to use also.
