Default Shamrocks and Zaino MF Towels

I recently purchased both and in my judgment , the Shamrocks are far better than the Zaino MF towels .
They are much thicker , larger and just as soft. I like them way better than Zaino towels. I will buy more Shamrocks for sure !

Everything I read say that you should always wash the MF towels before first use however I was wondering the reason? Do the manufacturers put something on them or is it a step to in sure that the towels are just clean?

I've always washed mine but I've always wondered why.
Thanks

I don't know why to wash them first, but they will get softer and fluffier

I like everything Zaino but I have to agree on the Shamrocks. Thicker, thirstier, softer. The only negative on the Shamrocks are the 4 corners that are hard and need to be snipped off before use. You won't get any lint if you wash them 1st in a dedicated MF cleaner.

I wash them first just in case they picked up something during manufacture or while being boxed. Just a precaution.

Nothing is put on the towels, but being in a warehouse environment you never know when they may pick up lint/dust/etc.

They also give off a little lint when they're brand new, and washing helps get it all out.

I got mine yesterday and everything said is true. I wash them to get rid of the lint as I have a black car and colored stuff goes right to the interior and shows up. I also used the edges on my daily driver and didnt have any adverse effects. in other words they didnt scratch at all.

If you guys wash after each use how do you dry them and put them in a plastic bag? I wash mine and hang them in the garage to dry them. I never cover them or put them in a plastic bag I guess I have to change the way I do things . Do you guys put them in the dryer?

Towards the bottom of the page we are currently offering a BOGO on the 3 package as a thanks to all those that tried them and loved them. And if you havent tried them 6 towels is indeed better than 3 ...

I too suggest washing them first and storing outside of all other laundry. Those stackables or small Rubbermaid plastic cabinets are rather nice and can be easily opened for each detailing session.

great towels and each of my shamrocks is stored in a 1-gallon ziploc baggie. Wash them first, there's a lot of loose fibers from the manufacturing process.

Bought 4 Shamrocks from the Geek a few months ago when they were BOGO. Great towels, thick and super soft. Ordered the 3 pack (6 Towels Total) on BOGO Sunday, should have them on Thursday.
