What wax lasts the longest?
I **HATE** waxing my car. What's a good long lasting wax to use that will hold up for a few weeks at least and will withstand a few washings? I have an Arctic White C5, and I know its not going to shine like a black car does, but it would be nice if it had a little shine Thanks guys!

My vote is for Zaino.
Just wash, claybar thoroughly and then Zaino it once or twice.
I Zaino'd my truck 2 times with Z5 and 4 months later it's still beading like crazy....

Zaino hands down My wife's daily driver sits outside in the weather and just keeps beading up month after month. Zaino Clear seal topped with Z8. It's been at least 4 months since I last did it (too busy with my own cars ) and it still looks great and repels water.

Yes, but with any product you will want to remove bugs and bird doo ASAP since they are very acidic and will eventually eat through and damage your paint. There is no polish or wax known to mankind that will protect against them for very long. That said Zaino is still your best defense.

Melting Slicks
I kinda got the impression he didnt have 6 years to spend applying Zaino.

A nice alternative would be Duragloss #105. Leaves a very good shine, especially on white, and holds up very well - even better using Aquawax about once a month. It can also be found locally at Carquest and NAPA.

If you do not like waxing, as stated by others Zaino is great as it has been tested and retested as being the most durable polish on the market (by Guru Reports in the Wax Test they tested Z-2 Show Car Polish) but I will go on to ad that if you truely want the easiest by far in the Zaino lineup you should really get Zaino Clear Seal (which was not available at the time of The Wax Test), just wipe on and walk away, no residue, a self curing synthetic sealant. You can wipe down a white C6 in about 15 min. and it will cure in no time. For someone who does not like to wax, then Zaino Clear Seal (CS) is the ULTIMATE product on the market. CS has 9 months durability.

I have an Arctic White C4 and in the sun the shine is blinding with several coats of Zaino. By far the longest lasting product I've ever used (and I've used a lot of premium products) and it makes Arctic White look great. Since you have a somewhat older car, I'd recommend a layer of Zaino AIO followed by a layer of Z5 followed by CS, with a wipe down of Z6 after each layer.

Another vote for the synthetics!
I'm a new Zaino user on my Vette. I like the slickness, shine and durability.
I have to admit that I'm also impressed with Rejex on my mistreated truck. It sits outside in the hot sun and rain everyday in front of my house. I applied it last March and it continues to bead and repel water after over 6 months. When I do get around to washing it, dirt and bugs wash off pretty easily.
Typically when someone refers to "waxing their car" or a "wax" on the forum, they are using euphemisms for applying a product to protect their car's finish. Even many "wax" products contain chemicals to improve the shine or durability of the product. By the way Paulie, I didn't know about the "C" cup enhancement, what works better, Z5 or Z2?

For a wax I would recommend Poorboys Natty Red or P21S. Those waxes applied over a glaze, provide great long lasting results.
For polish I would recommend Zaino - clean with ZPC + 3 applications of Z5 Pro + Z2 as a top off.

Longest lasting waxes Meguiars #16, Collinite #845
Longest lasting sealants Zaino Z2pro, Zaino Z5pro, Zaino CS, ect...
One more thing to consider is that Zaino layers, which means it bonds to itself (according to David B of autopia, who has admitted that Zaino is the only sealant that can truely layer. Therefore, if one coat lasts 6 months, two coats will last longer, three coats longer, ect...

Coll 845
I just used the Collinite 845 on my mothers VW and it looks great. It took me 3 hours by hand from start to finish. Made sure I got every inch. Will be doing my Vette in the weeks to come with 845.
