I need to replace my Chamois that I use to dry my C5.
Any recommendations for a 3-4 ft chamois? I have been buying Chamois at Autozone. FYI, I am not considering synthetic and I only use microfibers to remove wax. Thanks

I only use microfibers to dry too. Wipe it down wring out and wipe a second time it works better for me than a chamois ever did. JMHO

I get my chamois from Oreilly. The real leather ones. I don't have a brand, sorry.

I used a chamois for years and decided to try the micro fiber towels. My experience tells me "nothing" will replace a chamois.

I have about 8 of the waffle-weave drying towels. One is all I need for each wash,

Waffle Weave made by Cobra, They do the job a lot better than the old fashion way with chamois.

Got mine recently at O'reillys. Didn't have one for a while. Was using microfiber, but to me you can't beat a chamois.

definitely the way to go - no scratches with the waffle-weave.

Thanks for all the replies. One thing I really like about a Chamois is that after I get it wet and ready to use, It lays perfectly flat on the surface and with no pushing down or pressure, I can pull it over the surface and dry the Vette in one pass. Can I dry in one pass with a waffle-weave?

If you get a good WW microfiber you will be convinved, But it has to be a waffle weave, Not just a microfiber drying towel.

Yes you can and it leaves the car without any streaks.

I use an electric leaf blower to do 90% of the drying. It gets all the water out of the cracks, mirrors, wheels etc. Then finish up with microfiber towels. Used to be a chamois!

The Absorber is better than a chamois by 10 orders of magnitude.
I like the Autogeek waffleweave guzzler the best though. Only microfiber I've ever used that doesn't mar when drying.

The trick with microfiber is you DO NOT WIPE them. You lay them on the paint and "pat" the water up.
