Just curious.....what type of vacuum do you use to keep your cars clean inside? I am thinking about going out and picking something up as my Dustbuster just doesn't get it anymore!

I bought one of those big wet/dry vacs at Lowes last year around Xmas. It works well, but I would much rather own and use a Metro Vac.

I have been thinking about purchasing a Metro Blo/Vac. Does anyone have experience with these?

How do they compare in performance to a Shop Vac?

I am a little worried of using the Metro-vac to suck snad, debris, etc., from inside the car, and then use the same Metro-vac to blow dry my car. Won't that same debris, or fine particles of sand get blown onto my car's finish as I am drying it?

Are the Metro-Vac's pretty easy to work with...drag around the car, etc.?

How about the suction and the blowing water off the car?

Any specific model recommendations?

The challenge with the Metro's are you really need two. One for vacuum and one for blowing. The 8hp MasterBlaster is seriously one nice blower and built well. We had them at Detailfest and impressed with its power. Everyone wanted to win it and someone is surely quite happy now. Its very easy to use and great results. Movement isnt bad as not that heavy or as bulky as tradtional leaf blower.

The full size Vac/Blo has been offered for use many times over the past six Detailfests and each time is find quite impressive for vacuum. I would personally attach it to the wall and use an extended tool in my home. I did not however found the blower option to be quite as strong as my Leaf Blower. The MasterBlaster however impressed there. And why I offer I would need two !

Interesting! So the blowing power isn't as strong as the vacuuming? I really want both if I am going to spend $200 or more.

Any other experiences out there?

There is a clear difference in blowing between the Vac/Blo and the 8hp MasterBlaster indeed.

I have the metro-vac with a 24ft hose and wall mounted and it just great. Strong suction and the attachments are well made and its made in the USA. I should have gotten it years ago. I got it at the "Geek"

Go to Sears and pop the $60 or so for a nice shop vac. It will out suck most democrats.

I will rather rent a vacuum rather then buy it, or better I will rent a steam cleaner for cleaning the interior. What I will recommend though is get a monthly steam cleaning done on your car from a professional steam cleaning service.

Have a older Vac from Sears ( 25 years old ) and it still works great. But it's about time to look into a Metro Vac.

Shop vac. I hit it once to get the loose stuff, then I gently agitate with a carpet brush and hit it again to get the rest. Keeps the crappy black carpet in my DD looking fresh.

Metro Full Size Vac N' Blo 4.0 HP Vacuum is what I use. It has all the power you could ever ask for, doubles as a blower to dry the vehicle, and comes with a wide variety of attachments.

Spending extra money on a "Botique" Vacuum is pure folly. Just buy the best shop vac from Sears, you'll need it for other stuff as well and it picks up standing water.

Also, after you vacuum up the big stuff run your leaf blower through the interior. It will get stuff left since Bowling Green!

I agree, $250 for a vac does not seem like a smart investment. I use a Sears Shop VAc and it works just fine. You could almost buy 3 of these compared to the Metro Vac.

metro-vac....mounted on the wall with a 24 ft hose. comes with mounting bracket and extra bags and a pouch for storing the numerous attachments you get with it. Not very expensive and made in the USA. From the way its made its the last one Ill ever buy
