What Swirl Remover do you recommend / use?
Folks, I need some input from you people that are more educated at paint correcting than I am.
I have a Supersonic Blue 2011 GS. All it has had done previously is applications of Zano 2 Polish applied and buffed out by hand.
The paint looks nice, but there are some light swirls and I think I can improve on the shine by machine polishing it first prior to re-waxing.
I plan on using a 6.5" Lake Country CCS "Green Heavy" Polishing Foam Pad with a random orbital polisher to apply the swirl remover (or would the slightly less abrasive CCS "White" pad be a better choice)?
I would like to use only 1 grade of swirl remover prior to waxing the car. I really don't think I want to use 2 separate grades of swirl removers prior to waxing.
Since I have heard that the clearcoat on the Corvettes is very very hard, I am thinking that a medium grade of swirl remover might be better than those ultra fine grades.
Here are a few swirl removers that I have been thinking about:
1. Griot’s Garage Machine Polish #3
2. Meguiars Mirror Glaze #9 Swirl Remover 2.0
3. Pinnacle XMT Fine Swirl Remover #2
4. 3M Scratch Remover
_____________________________
As a 1-step swirl remover prior to waxing, do you think any of these I listed might be satisfactory?
Any other suggestions?
Thank's,
Ron

Menzerna PO106FA Nano Polish is my "go to" product. I've used it with Lake Country Orange and white pads, and the product finishes really nice. I would always start with the least abrasive pad/polish combo and step it up if the swirls are not removed. My experience has been to start with the Nano Polish and a white Lake Country pad, then move to an orange pad if the results are not to my liking. If you have to move to an orange pad, you'll want to follow it with the white LC pad after. The Nano Polish and white combo will leave a really nice gloss level after you're done. Seal it, wax it, then drive it!

You know .. I was looking on the AutoGeek website and read that the clearcoat finish on the new Corvettes is very hard such as the Mercedes.
QUOTE: "Mercedes Benz vehicles since 2003 have been using a new scratch resistant clear-coat lacquer. The new scratch resistant finish is made up of nano-sized ceramic particles that are baked. Scratch resistant paint is referred to as Ceramic-Clear".
QUOTE: "Chemical Guys Nano Pro Polish 3n is 100% Body Shop Safe (silicone/wax free) and OEM APPROVED! It finishes like a premium wax. 3n- Superior Paint Correction polish will remove (not cover) surface blemishes, scratches, and swirls to create a flawless finish every time. It is safe on all clear-coats, single stage paint jobs, and ceramic finishes".

I am thinking that the Chemical Guys Nano Pro Polish 3n is about the same as the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 in that both products are effective at correcting the hard clearcoat on the late model Corvettes.
Some of the other swirl remover products may be good for the standard type clearcoat swirl removal, but it would seem that for removing imperfections in the very hard clearcoat found on the Corvette, products like the Chemical Guys Nano Pro Polish 3n and the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 might be a better choice.
I am thinking that the Chemical Guys Nano Pro Polish 3n and the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 are pretty much the same product.

LC White and Megs. 205 polish.
If that doesn't work, as stated above Vettes have a hard clear, I'll move right up to my rotary with purple wool and Megs. 105 compound.
Then back to the polishing stage.

I use all BlackFire products and am blowm away by the deep wet look that it achives. I had swirls and and some small scratches in my Victory Red 06 so I went with the BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Compound to get the scratches out(Lake Country orange cutting pad) then did another pass with BLACKFIRE Scratch Resistant Clear Finishing Polish(LC white pad). If your Vette only has light swirls, I think the finish polish should do the trick. Seal it with BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection(LC black pad). It will create whiplash. They also make an all in one polish and paint sealant (BLACKFIRE Total Polish & Seal) that might work for you if you dont want to spend too much time on it. Go to http://www.autopia-carcare.com/blackfire-car-care.html to check out the BlackFire product lineup.

Well, I took the advice of some of your replies (and others I have talked to) and ordered the Meguiars #105 and the #205
along with a few Lake Country CCS white pads from AutoGeek.
For the wax after I'm finished, I am going to use the rest of my Zaino #2 Polish.
cdoo .... After my Zaino is all gone, I think I will try a bottle of "Blackfire" Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection.
A friend of mine had excellent results with the Blackfire just like yourself.
Thank's for your input ..

The twins M105/M205 followed by some Menzerna PO85rd. Then seal it with mutiple coats of Zaino for a flawless finish! Start with the M205 first for slight scratches or swirls instead of M105.

Melting Slicks
I agree with this except the zaino. I would seal it all up with black fire wet diamond sealant.
