Default How to correctly clean the dull black door frames

Just bought a 3 series Bimmer. It's a couple of years old and before I bring the car up to blinding people with a major detail and Menzerna the paintwork I was wondering what product to use on the dull slightly matt black finish around the window frame areas ? Polish can some time make that dull black finish blotchy ! Any help will be greatly appreciated.... Stewy

If the material is plastic, then you can use any number of protectants like CTechniq to bring them back and protect.

If the material is painted, you will then want to treat them like paint. I wash mine and then use a good spray wax with UV protection to keep them new. Optimum Car Wax is a nice product and it doesnt streak. (I use it in all the door jambs too)
