Default How to Clean Chrome In Good condition

I have the bumpers and chrome interior in pretty decent shape. How can I maintain this and get the Best looking shine. I don't want to use any abrasives on it. Thanks, habib

Default Chrome

I have had some fantastic results using Surf City Killer Chrome polish. It can be bought on line from them or some of the local Wal Marts carry Surf City products.

Finish with a water-soluble polish (Happich Semichrome Polish, ECP Showman Polish or Autosol)

Apply surface protection (Optimum Polymer Technologies Opti-Seal™)

most polishes have some abrasive qualities in them, and products like Flitz also offer a protectant build into them. Its relatively safe to use them by hand without issue. You can always use a paint sealant or paint coating over chrome for additional and long term protection.

As long as you keep it clean and protect it with a wax/sealant it will stay looking great forever. What products do you have in your arsenal?

Griots One-Step Sealant dioes have some light cleaners and polishes in it. It was designed for paint more so than chrome, but you can certainly try it. As always, consider testing in a small area out of eye-sight whenever concerned on a product.

You don't need anything fancy so no need to go out and buy something just for this chore. Griots will certainly do the trick and don't worry about harming the hard chrome finish with it either. It's a sealant after all! What will work for protecting your paint will also do a great job of protecting your chrome. (but not always vis versa )

I've used Turtle Wax chrome polish with a clean cotton rag

It will sparkle things up - is non abrasive, and leaves a protective coating

You can get it at "Wally World" for around 2 bucks, and that 12 oz bottle will last a lifetime
