jim lock

Just took my car out of storage. Rotors ( braking surface) is not rusted, but the ring between the hub and braking surface is rusted. Just looks bad.

!) best way to remove rust?
2) anyway to prevent it?

Maybe hit them with a wire brush, clean, degrease and paint with high temp paint made for brake components. Mine are zinc plated (maybe wrong term) but resist rust very well.
