Default Did I waste money?

I have a torch red, 2001 Z06. I recently purchased a Griot's Garage kit:http://www.autoanything.com/car-care/69A6555A0A0.aspx

I haven't even used it yet but now that I've been reading up on this forum I want to try Black Fire products as well as Wolfgang, Adam's, Pinnacle, EVERYTHING ELSE BUT Griot's.

Will I be happy when I hit the vette with a full, griot's detail?
I'll throw some pics up when I can, the car is beautiful, it just has those light scratches I intend to polish out.

I have been using a Mother's wax and polish by hand as well as the 1-step sealer from Griot's. I can't wait to use the orbital but Griot's only has foam pads, I wanna try MF. Will other polish/wax pads fit on a Griot's? I feel like its a unique unit that only uses its own products, is that the case?

I love this car care forum

Thanks guys!

Griots is good stuff. Everyone has their favorite stuff. If you have it, use it. Save the money and buy mods for the car.

Try it out and see for yourself. Nobody on the internet is going to be able to tell you whether or not you'll be happy with your results depending on the products you are using!

Regarding the polisher, the backing plate is what determines if other pads will work with it. Make sure the plate will fit within the diameter of the pads and you'll be good to go!

Post up some pics, I'd love to see the car!

Experiment with several different types and decide which one works best for you. Around here it seems that RejeX, Zaino, Adams, and Wolfgang are the big boys. Everyone has a favorite...you have to find yours.
Good luck.

Griots makes many great products and stand behind their products without fail. You will find their buffer and many of their products work and offer a lot of value. When time and funds permit come try out our Wolfgang, Blackfire, and Pinnacle lines. Then you choose the product for each area of detailing that you feel does the best work and outcome. Its all about you !!

Congrats on the new ride too !!
