Default Claying Decals?

Almost done claying my 60th Anniversary 427 but I did not do the decals because I wasnt sure if I should. Is it safe to clay the decals?

If they are clear coated over them, then yes you can clay over them.

I would not clay them if vinyl ...now if they are painted, treat them as such.

Stay away from clay on any vinyl decals, which I'm almost certainly the 427 ones are. It can easily cause marring/micro-scratches since vinyl is so much softer than clear coat.
