help please - transmission fluid burnt on exhaust
My transmission had a leak that went unnoticed for a while. 
The fluid dripped onto the exhaust pipe and baked onto the surface. Not quite sure how to remove transmission fluid residue that has been burnt on the exhaust pipe.
Is there any cleaner out there able to remove the stain, or am I looking at mechanical removal? ( I would prefer not to go to the extent of scraping and sanding the pipe.)
