Clay Bar / Cleaner Wax
If I use a clay bar during the off season in Upstate New York, do I also
need to use a cleaner wax or does the clay bar remove everything?
This is on an 08 and has been clay barred annually.
Thanks for your ideas / opinions.
Have a GREAT weekend!

Clay alone is really all you need to do. A cleaner wax isn't going to remove anything that clay wouldn't.
After claying polish as needed to address imperfections and bring out the gloss on the paint.
Finish it off with your preferred sealant and/or wax and you're good to go!
Hope that helps.

An AIO Wax or AIO sealant not only protects, but also has paint cleaners and polishing agents in it. It could be used after claying if you are looking for one product that does everything. Most of us in this section, would actually suggest using a specific product for each area of car care. Generally specialized products can offer better results. Your choice ....
Wash ----) Clay ----) Polish -----) Protect !

Have you tried the Nano sponge/mitt yet? http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-spe...ine-grade.html http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-aut...ine-grade.html
It has some advantages over the clay bar. It performs the same function, last longer and if dropped can be rinsed off as opposed to throwing away like the clay.
The fine pad worked for me on a garaged kept non DD that was over 5 years old on the paint without ever being clayed. I was using the Klasse AOI and the sealant though, just without ever claying.
They offer two grades I believe. I experienced no marring with the fine grade. I understand the coarser grade for heavy buildup may require a machine polishing after.
Clay can act the same way depending on the coarseness of the clay.
