Default Ceramic Nano products, what's the best?

Lots of these ceramic/nano coatings out there now, is there a consensus on which one is the best?

Here's some:

I have used Optimums Coating with great and VERY long term results. I am actually playing with CQuartz now and so far its quite easy to apply/remove and beads well. Most on our forum suggest the UK version of CQuartz as more durable long term.

My detailing shop applied Modesta coating (BC-05) on top of the Suntek pp film. The car has a super high gloss appearance and it exceeded my expectations.

Has anyone seen the video from Ceramic Pro 9h? They show a guy beating the side of a Mazda SUV thing with a bic lighter and not a mark on the paint...

I see most people us cquartz on AG forums, I tried gtechniq c1 and exo, both worked great. I did c1 on my wife's mini, its been a little over a year and half and it seems to be wearing off just now.

By long term do you mean water beading?

Pinnacle Black Label & Black Fire are easier and less finicky to apply than CQ

Coatings take on different qualities than a traditional carnauba based wax which beads quite uniform when first applied and then falls off as the wax wears off. Some coatings actually sheet and other bead. They don't fall off as quickly and in some cases don't look as uniform from the start. Once you get use to use coatings, you start to note a difference in how it acts and can measure its continued protection by seeing the same outcome at each wash. You can also find boosters now to help keep a coating at full protection when you feel they are losing their look and feel.

In South Florida we can typically see over a years protection from one coating application whereas sealants and waxes are much less on vehicles with normal use. As offered earlier, they react differently and each one has its own unique look, feel, and length of durability.

nice choice ... cannot wait to hear your results. I used the original version on wife's Enclave, and I use the spray booster occasionally. It beads like crazy and use of the hose appears to wash off most of the dirt before traditional washing.

That's a car show gimmick trick. Ceramic Pro has some of the most shady installers and claims I've ever seen, and I've been in this business for 14yrs.

I'd strongly recommend any coating by CarPro. Opti-Coat Pro is good, but don't put any faith in their warranty system.

HA! Glad you said it and not me! Totally agree with the first comment for sure

Opti-Coat Pro and cquartz finest both carry a legit warranty backed by an insurance company. There are though a number of terms and exclusions like any other warranty would have.

Some info on the Opti-Coat Pro warranty

http://opti-coat.net/content/55/warranty.html

I think the reputation of the product along with the reputation of the installer are very important when making a purchase like this.

To answer your question about the "best"--Modesta is another superb product many high end detailers are using. It has a great reputation and warranty. Must be applied by professionals.
