Default Best tire shine... Yep, I found it

I take meticulous care of my vehicles and obsessively clean them when I see dirt. Yes, I guess you can say I have no life or need more hobbies.

Anyways, I have used 15 different tire shines through the years and finally ran into the best one of the bunch. I tried:

Armor All= Sucks, no long time shine
Black Magic = feels like its 80% water
Eagle 1 = nothing special
etc etc etc....

Then I ran into this stuff

I have to say it has been the best tire shine out there. It actually lasts more than a day and does not fly off the tire and onto the car like the "gel" products out there. Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone else who is obsessed with their car. It was hard to find in store around here, I ended up purchasing it online.

Might try it out if it doesn't sling off like soul glow.

I too tried a variety of tire shine/dressing products. I finally settled on Surf City Garage Beyond Black Tire Pro Dressing. Great product. Has a nice, clean black appearance without the dripping wet look.

Can be bought at Walmart. My current 2012 CRM GS has taken a "Best of Show" and Celebrity Choice Award at Corvette Fun Fest 2014 in Effingham. IL...

I like Zaino Z-16, holds up longer than others I've tried and does not sling off the tires.

I prefer the natural rubber look on the tires. I use 303 protectant. I use it on the interior as well. Matte finish look, no shine.

Not shiny at all but clean and even looking.

The Wizard interior looks way too greasy, even if it isn't really. Just to shiny.

The engine bay does look good though. although still a little wet looking.

Personnel preference.....

I prefer water based dressings ...often they take more than a coat in order to get "shiny". They don't use low grade silicones which can damage and bloom the casing of tires. I find Optimums Opti-bond and Carpro's Perl to be great ones. I am also working with our newest formula Pinnacle Onyx Tire Dressing which is designed like a lotion for easier application.

I tried Carpro's perl three different times on my daily driver, when driving in the rain my tires would have a white film on them which had to be scrubbed to remove. I threw Carpro in the trash. Just my experience. I went back to Zaino Z16

+1...been using this for going on 11 years and it's the best out there, bar none! Satin finish, non sticky, doesn't fly off and lasts until you wash the car again!!!

Lol. Lemon Pledge. Same basic stuff as most other tire dressing. Meet using it for 15 years and have no reason to change.

I've gotta say I'm disappointed in the Lucas Slick Mist. I was expecting a wet glossy look but after they sat out in the sun for a couple of hours ...it turned flat matte on the two vehicles I tried it on today.
That's my story!

The best tire shine I have found is Meguiar's D16001 All Season Dressing - 1 Gallon.

It works sell and makes the garage smell amazing.
