Default Anyone have XZILON paint protection?

My new to me C6 Z06 has a very recent application of XZILON on it. Wondering what I can use for general washing of the vehicle.

Looked on their website and looks like I am supposed to buy their product....?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I never heard of it but I did a quick Google search. From what I saw, it looks like those paint protection scams dealerships try to sell buyers that will “protect paint for 5 years”. Not saying that this product is a scam, just reminds me of them.

Never heard of it. Was it a dealer "add on" or is it like Xpel?

It is indeed a paint sealant (synthetic wax) that is sold at retail dealerships at a very big profit. The heart of the offer is the warranty, but study it as you must follow directions to meet the durability claims. Often times you can have it reapplied for no cost at the original selling dealer.

As with all other sealants, you can really use the wash of your choice.

There's the answer I was looking for. Thank you.

Bought the car from my sister and she has had this reapplied every year since she bought the car. It is a 2007 that looks damn near brand new. I will post some pix when I can get some taken.

A friend of mine was offered this paint treatment at a local MB dealership for $900.00.

I like to think I'm the LAST one to get taken in by the snake oil salesman . . . however . . . from what I see, this XZILON stuff seems to work. Wouldn't have purchased it myself, but I bought a used 2007 HHR that had it applied. 3 years later, and the car shines as new. Never waxed it; haven't washed it now in 7 weeks. No need to. No, it's not spotless - but it's close. The rain seems to just wash away any film or dust. Don't think I'd pay $500+ for it . . . but still, it does seem to work.

You might want to try a "coating" .... for around 100.00 or less you can get a minimum of 1, 2, even 3 years of protection or greater. They offer what these dealer add-on's suggested and a much better expense for those truly looking for the longest protection in a single application.

This stuff is a joke and I feel so bad for the people that get suckered into buying it. I worked at a dealer that used this so I've seen it first hand. Its junk.
