Default Turbo Car Dryer --- by DP

Over the years we have all agreed that removing as much water from a finish without rubbing is a benefit to your car and your finish. The challenge was that up until now you needed to choose from a Leaf Blower or the MasterBlaster from Metro. The MasterBlaster is still a preferred tool but at a price point not all want to spend initially to help with detailing.

So .... we decided to design a Turbo Dryer Kit with more power than the traditional leaf blower, but easier to use and keeping the price reasonable. Look no further than our DP line ....

Whats the MPH of this unit? I was looking at the master blaster but not willing to pay that much so I have been using my leaf blower.

over 200MPH ....

The reviews are suggesting that most find it easier to use than the Blaster and Leaf Blower. Looks like a winner for all !

My review from a couple of other sites

A little review about the DP Turbo Dryer........

First thing you notice it it's kind of heavy. To me that means STRONG

It is a bit cumbersome (could use a shoulder strap).

As you can see, I used the flat nozzle to start with. Turn it on and you feel the nozzle push back in your hand. IT HAS STRENGTH !!!

The subject.........

After a quick walk around with the dryer on the car, I figured out that with this nozzle on it, it was no better than a strong leaf blower with a filter. Time to change nozzles to the smaller round nozzle.

NOW THIS THING IS GREAT !!!!!!! It does cracks, crevices, mirrors like wow.

Since I back the car into the garage, the drains are tilted in the wrong direction to drain the water. So the real test is the internal gutters of the car. Of course since it was Sunday which means another car show. And since I'm old and forgetful........ I forgot to put my chair in the back before I started washing. This is where I always have problems since lifting the hatch ends up dripping tons of water on the car.

Open the hatch and this is what I see

NO DRIPS ON THE CAR !!!!

As I said, it's a bit cumbersome, but it did the job once I figured out to just to use the round nozzle.

It's a winner !!!

All reviews to date seem to suggest its lighter and easier to handle. I have heard only one suggestion, to add a shoulder strap for main unit as an option.

Thanks for the review - I'm leaning toward this unit myself.

How is it in terms of noise level? Quieter than a leaf blower, or about the same?

Thanks,
Steven

I found it to be a little quieter than a leaf blower. As someone else requested, the internal motor and design is built for us by Shop Vac.

So it's probably as loud as the Shop Vac I have in the garage. OK - that sounds reasonable.

Thanks for the reply.

Minie came in on Tuesday. Unpacked it last night. First impression is that this is a well made unit. The fact that it is a shop vac product is good. I have had nothing but success with shop vac products and the current shop vac that I have is about 6 years old and still kicking.

The unit feels very well put together and sturdy. As soon as I fire it up and use it I will report back witht he results, but seams like a good buy right now. I looked at the air force master blaster but was not willing to pay that kind of money and the unit also looked a little cumbersum to handle.

I do like the long cord of this unit which should help in walking around the whole car without having to plug out and than in another outlet.

More to follow.

My leaf blower batteries and charger died yesterday.
Looking at the cost of 2 new batteries and a charger, it was a no brainer.
I ordered the DP today.
Might take a while to get used to the power cord.
At least now I won't have to rush to blow dry the car before the batteries lose their charge.
Hopefully, the performance upgrade will be worth it as well.
VERY nice Nova in the demo photos!

Would like to see a video of this in action. Not sure it's worth the price vs. my leaf blower at this point.

Eric Oliver has a video on YouTube showing the DP Turbo Vac in action. This is a customer video and untouched.

I bought the Master Blaster a few months back and really like its power. The only flaw for me with the MB is its portability. Carrying it around sucks, and it does not follow very well due to locked wheel design.

I also had to purcahse a separate power cord to get any use out of it. Really, the standard power cord is not long enough.

If this were availabe at that time, I think I would have sprung for this product.

++ on the recommendation for a shoulder strap!! Or, outfit it to wear as a back pack and keep it from flopping around on your side.
