Default Must See Hard Candy Shell produced from Modesta BC-04 on BMW M3

2015 BMW M3 - Mineral Gray - New Car Prep - Modesta BC04 - Next Level Coating

We received this brand new 2015 BMW M3 in the best possible way - directly from the customer immediately after it was delivered. Even better the dealer did not touch anything - all the wrapper was still on the car! Note: If you can ask for the delivery of your new car in this form the shop handling your new car prep, coating, and/or paint protection film installation is ahead of the game. The only thing better than this situation would be that the customer would have flat bedded the car to us.

Take a look at how we feel a new car should be delivered.

Here is a list of products used on the interior.

1Z einszett Cockpit
Leather Master Strong Cleaner
Leather Master Barrier
Auto Finesse Crystal Glass Cleaner
1Z einszett Gummi Pflege Stift Rubber Care Stick
Metro Jumbo Vac n Blow
Uber Leather and Carpet Brush
Uber Microfiber Towels
Uber Microfiber Applicator Pad

Products used on the exterior:

Adam's New Car Wash
Uber Clay Bar
Sonax Fall Out Remover
NanoSkin Tar Solvent
NanoSkin AutoScrub Mitt
Sonax EX0406
Modesta Primer 01A - Modesta Pro installer only
Modesta BC04 - Modesta Pro installer only
Adam's Super VRT
Auto Finesse Crystal Glass Cleaner

Tools used
Metro Jumbo Vac n Blow
Uber Leather and Carpet Brush
Uber Microfiber Towels
Uber Microfiber Applicator Pad
Uber Quick Detail MF Towels
Uber All Purpose MF Towels
Griot's 3 inch Random Orbital Polisher
Rupes BigFoot LHR 21ES Random Orbital Polisher
Rupes BigFoot LHR 15ES Random Orbital Polisher
Uber Buffing Pads
Defelsko Paint Meter
Fenix TK35
2 Grit Guard Buckets with Caddies
Adam's Firehose Nozzle
Metro Air Force Blaster

The ideal situation for us would be to have every new car delivered to us this way - all wrapped up from the factory. No dealer installed paint imperfections.

Here we go, nothing like removing the wrapper off a brand new car!

Interior gets unwrapped

All the wrapper removed and adhesive cleaned off the paint

Next up into the wash bay for a nice wash - pre soak, wash, decon, clay, wheels and tires

Uber Super Drying Towel soaking up all the water for a nice dry.

Clay bar

Sonax EX 0406 used to polish out any light paint imperfections before we move into the Modesta application

Looking quite nice after a the paint prep - Mineral Gray M4 in the background ....

Modesta Primer P-01A applied now we wait for the 3-4 hour cure time prior to Modesta BC-04

After the BC-04 is installed we cure the paint under heat lamps.

After Interior shots

Final shots of the exterior

Outside shots - Hard Candy Shine! Some amazing depth, gloss, and clarity after the proper prep work and Modesta!

Hope you enjoyed this one as much as we did.

That hard candy shell that Modesta leaves after a proper install is incredible.

Damn! That's absolutely beautiful. I have OCD when it comes to my car and it's nice to see someone who is as meticulous as me. Amazing work on a beautiful car. How long did it take you to detail the car?

What kind of light are you using on the side of the car? Looks like the lens is red. Is it for scratches and swirl marks?

it is a radiant heat lamp for curing paint and the like.

How many hours do you think you put into a job like this (even on a car with minimal correction needed)?

in your experience, how well do these new hard coatings last? sort of like clearcoat for your clear coat... (?)

The least expansive "coating" will outlast the best traditional sealants/waxes.

doubt they will this is not for the DIYer we do have coatings like Opti Gloss Coat and Dr Beasley's Nano Resin that is geared more toward the DIYer.
