Default Nanoskin wash mitt feedback?

I've only used clay a couple times and found it to be a PITA especially when I drop it on the ground since it is hard to hold on to!
I'm looking at this Nanoskin wash mitt as another option?
I'm I correct in my assumption that that I use this to wash my car and clean/scrub my paint at the same time?
Does it matter what car wash soap I use with it?

Nanoskin makes several ways to clay your car without the use of traditional clay. The wash mitt is used in a similar effect to washing, but should be used on clean paint and already washed paint.

I used the sponge and didn't like it all. Felt it required more lubricant than clay & felt is was too rough on my expel covered areas.

Did you try the "fine" version?

It works best on newer conditioned paint well.

Garage kept and or washed often and not parked under tress etc.

Yes it was the fine version. I'll use it on the glass and wheels but def not the paint again.

The challenge with all these other items that do what clay did (buffer pad, mitt, block) is that you lose the tactile feel that traditional clay provides. It is slippery, but clearly stops and stutters when an area needs work. I still find myself back using a clay bar.

I have always used the smaller sponge.

It can jump out of the hand but unlike clay it can be reused after a rinse.

On my garaged and car with 4-5 thousand yearly miles the fine works very well.

My car seldom sits out though for very long. A few trips over the years but 90% of the miles is driving and back in the garage.

I liked using the nanoskin wash mitt on my c5. I still used a spray bottle with the Zaino wash and water to lubricate the surface. Took a lot less time then a clay bar.

I wanted to see what it would feel like on a car that had never been clayed before. I used it on my girlfriends Lexus. It made a world of difference with cleaning the surface. The feeling from gritty to silky smooth was awesome. It even worked on cleaning up her headlight yellowness! I misplaced it some where. I need to order another one!

I would recommend it to people who have never clayed before. I still prefer clay on the vette, but the nanoskin on my other cars that I haven't seasonal clayed.
