. . . and I really like it. Seems smoother and has less vibration than my PC7424. Amazing what a little Menzerna Super Intensive Polish and C Magic wax will do to a white car.

That's what I use on all my black cars. Great little machine especially with 5.5" backing plate and Lake Country pads, all from Autogeek.

I have never used a orbital. I'll admit it I'm afraid I'll burn and ruin the paint.
Wish I had the ***** to try one.
To the OP...that white looks great. Nice job.

I felt the same way and had my PC for over a year before I finally got up enough courage to use it. Seriously, they're pretty much fool proof. I've done just about everything with mine except stand on it, and I've never burned the paint. I've used Menzerna polish for many years and really like it. #1 son kept borrowing my PC, so I decided to get a new one and let him keep the PC. As I said, I'm very impressed with the Griot's. I was going to get something more expensive, but after reading many reviews on the Griot's I decided to purchase it.

I order 99% of my car care products from them as well. A winning combination of great products and customer service. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from them.

An orbital buffer is quite easy to use and very user friendly because of its design. Its a rotary that often gets the bad rap as it can cut paint rather quickly.

If you were local, I'd offer you a visit and some tech time. I hope someone locally will consider helping, because you'll be amazed at the look and reflection some polishing will offer.

YOUtube is your friend. Search and you shall find.
So many compounds and not unlike any other product, some work better on GM finishes than others. Don't forget types of pads as well! Trial and error.

The same with waxes or sealants.

I have had my Griots for about a year now and still have not unpacked it.

Just is a long day with all the prep and final polishing. My 67 yr. old body doesn't perform like my mind wants.

One day ..one day .. I keep saying.

I guess I could wash and Nano sponage then put the cover on and the next day use QD to clean and start in with the Griots. Probably the only way it will get done.

Bad idea?

Great idea

If you have a garage and cover you can break up detailing into steps. Polishing will take the longest (when done properly) but will offer the biggest return on your time.
