Default Leather seat rip

98 corvette.

seats were recently reupholstered. Slight tear beginning as seen in the attached photos. Any advice on how to stop the tear from getting bigger ? Or any advice on how to go about repairing the tear . Thanks .

They make vinyl kits to repair small tears .... I would revisit the company that reupholstered as it might be a relatively cheap and quick repair for a professional.

that whole portion between the seams needs to be replaced. you can make out some type of deformity in the first pic above the tear.. bet you was a quality check missed when that vinyl was pushed through to the upholsterer. and most likely missed by the little foreign immigrant worker sowing it up...
