C6 Engine detailing

How dirty is the area ??? Generally I don't advocate flooding the engine area with water. Instead:
1. Use a rinseless wash product (Optimum) and several soft and disposable towels, you can use a soft paint brush and/or tooth brush to agitate areas as needed.
2. Use a can of compressed air as needed to help remove loose/dirt and soil in corners
3. Find a good plastic cleaner/protectant (Blackfire, Wolfgang) and wipe down the plastics, wire looms, and other rubber items. **use a water based product, not silicone, to avoid attracting more dirt and dust.
4. You can seal (Blackfire, Rejex, Wolfgang), coat (Pinnacle, Gtechnic), or wax painted areas. Often using a durable product will help protect longer.

Isn't too dirty, mostly dusty.
I agree, very nervous to use water directly on engine with all the electrical/electronic components on these newer cars.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Please provide us a candid review. We want to know if anything else should be added or removed. Also how well it works for our clients. While we test them, its the clients that truly help us with design and implementation. Thank you again for supporting Autogeek.
